The I.CA SecureStore application is a standalone application in two versions, one for Windows and one for OS X. The application has the following basic functions:
- generating a key pair up to 2048 bits on the card simultaneously with the creation of the corresponding request for a certificate of the selected type (commercial, qualified),
- importing the issued certificate to the card - the issued certificate in DER format is stored on the card in the appropriate storage for the key pair,
- importing certificates of communication partners and root certificates of supported CAs,
- working with certificates stored on the smart card and managing the storage on the card - including deleting and importing certificates,
- - PIN management - PIN change (a new PIN can be set using the old PIN), PIN unblocking (additional PIN entry attempts can be obtained by entering the PUK),
- card space usage monitoring (card lifetime is not checked by the application),
- use of free card space for storing arbitrary files. Storage for free space can be selected in two variants:
- unsecured, which is freely accessible,
- secured, which is accessible only after entering the PIN for this storage. This storage is suitable, for example, for password management.
Features only available in the Windows version:
- Certificate registration to Windows - installs the certificate into Windows stores so that it is accessible by certificate services in the Windows environment,
- mark the storage used for Windows SmartCard Logon.
